Setting Up Shopify Markets with Custom Data

To configure Shopify Markets to work with our system, you need to assign a different shop ID to each market. This allows each market to appear as a different store in our system. Shopify apps can only be installed and configured for all markets in Shopify, so we use Custom Data to achieve this.

Steps to Configure Custom Data

  1. Navigate to Custom Data Settings Custom Data Step 1

  2. Add a New Custom Metafield Custom Data Step 2

  3. Configure the Custom Metafield

    • The important thing here is that the custom metafield should be named faslet.shopId. This is case sensitive. Custom Data Step 3
  4. Save the Custom Metafield Custom Data Step 4

Assigning Shop IDs to Markets

  1. Navigate to Shopify Markets Markets Step 1

  2. Select a Market to Configure Markets Step 2

  3. Assign a Unique Shop ID

    • Enter a unique shop ID for the selected market in the faslet.shopId metafield. Markets Step 3

By following these steps, you can ensure that each market in Shopify is recognized as a different store in our system.
